The 1/2" stainless steel diaphragm solenoid valve (N/C – normally closed) is an advanced industrial automation component designed for reliable control of media flow in cleaning, production, and food processing systems. The valve body is made entirely of 304 stainless steel (SS304), ensuring full resistance to corrosion, oxidation, and mechanical damage. The device is electrically controlled via a 24V DC coil with a power rating of 18W.

The valve features a G 1/2" internal thread on both ends and a full flow bore of 15 mm (DN15). The direct-acting design allows operation within a pressure range of 0 to 10 bar, meaning the valve does not require a minimum differential pressure to open the flow. The use of a top-class VITON (FKM) fluorocarbon rubber diaphragm guarantees absolute chemical resistance to aggressive, highly acidic, and strongly alkaline process fluids.

Direct-acting operation starting at 0 bar and high resistance to cycling

The valve features a direct-acting design. Unlike servo-controlled valves, the mechanism opens the passage directly using an electromagnetic field generated by a 24V DC coil, without the need for pre-pressure in the pipeline. This allows for stable and reliable operation in gravity-fed systems, low-pressure dosing systems, and drain circuits. The design of the moving parts has been optimized for a very high number of operating cycles, which drastically extends the service life of the device in car wash automation systems.

VITON (FKM) diaphragm – full resistance to acidic and alkaline chemicals

The use of a VITON (FKM) fluorocarbon rubber seal places this valve above standard solutions with NBR or EPDM diaphragms in terms of chemical resistance. FKM material exhibits complete structural inertness when in contact with aggressive working media:

  • Acidic and alkaline agents: It is ideal for systems dosing aggressive chemical concentrates, sprays, and active foams with extreme pH levels.
  • Petroleum derivatives and oils: It retains full flexibility and tightness when in contact with mineral and synthetic oils as well as fuels.
  • High temperature: Enables safe operation at medium operating temperatures up to 150°C.

Solid construction made of SS304 acid-resistant steel

The body of the 2/2-way solenoid valve (two-way, two-position) is precision-cast from 304 stainless steel. This ensures absolute protection against the corrosive effects of hard, softened, and demineralized water. A full DN15 (15 mm) flow passage with a nominal flow coefficient (Cv) of 4 guarantees high flow performance without generating unnecessary turbulence or hydraulic resistance in the system. The N/C (normally closed) function ensures automatic flow shut-off in the event of a loss of control voltage.
